To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will make a statement on action taken to extinguish oil well fires in Kuwait as a result of his visit.

Mr. Wakeham

My visit to Kuwait reflected the Government's deep concern regarding the situation and demonstrated out willingness to support the continuing efforts of United Kingdom industry to become involved in the fire fighting process.

Those efforts continue.
