§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryData on the consumption of electricity are collected on a quarterly basis only. The latest figure available for total electricity consumption from the public supply system in the United Kingdom is 78.78 TWh for the first quarter of 1991.
Figures for the amounts of electricity available for consumption through the public supply system, that is, before excluding transmission, distribution and other losses, are collected monthly. Figures for March 1991 and May 1991, the most recent month for which information is available, are as follows:
