HC Deb 02 July 1991 vol 194 cc110-5W
Ms. Richardson

To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) how many maternity beds are available in each district health authority per 1,000 births;

(2) what is the number of special care baby cots in each district health authority per 1,000 births.

Mr. Dorrell

The available information is given in the following table. It should be noted that some health authorities provide special care facilities for neonates within maternity units. In these cases the cots are not counted separately and are therefore not included in the table.
