§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe original contribution offered by the Japanese was $2 billion for the multinational forces and $2 billion for economic assistance to Jordan, Egypt and Turkey. On 24 January a further contribution of $9 billion for the multinational forces was announced by the Japanese Government.
