Mr. Menzies Campbell

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence (1) what is the nursing establishment of each of the military hospitals in the United Kingdom; and how many vacancies there are in the establishment, at what grades;

(2) what is the total number of nurses employed in military hospitals in the United Kingdom and at what grades.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list the names and locations of all military hospitals in the United Kingdom.

There are eight service hospitals in the United Kingdom which are located at:

Royal Naval Hospital, Haslar Gosport, Hants
Royal Naval Hospital, Stonehouse Plymouth
Cambridge Military Hospital Aldershot, Hants.
Queen Elizabeth Military Hospital Woolwich, London
Duchess of Kent Military Hospital Catterick, Yorks.
The Princes of Wales (RAF) Hospital, Ely Ely, Cambridgeshire
The Princess Mary's RAF Hospital, RAF Halton Halton, Bucks.
Princess Alexandra Hospital, RAF Wroughton Wroughton, Wilts.

To ask the Secretary of Stale for Defence how many agency nurses have been employed in military hospitals in the last five years for which information is available; and what were the costs of doing so.
