§ Miss WiddecombeThe estimated cost of paying the pensioners' Christmas bonus in 1991–92 is approximately £114 million. If the payment was increased to £15 per pensioner, the cost would be about £171 million; if the payment was increased to £20 per pensioner, the cost would be £228 million.
