Mr. Austin Mitchell

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will publish a table showing for the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Germany for the years 1979 to 1989 and 1985 to 1989 the change in the numbers for (i) unemployed, (ii) GDP, (iii) manufacturing output and (iv) employment.

The information on unemployment and employment is contained in the following table. No figures are available for the unified Germany.
