To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make a statement on the implementation of EC legislation.

Mr. Garel-Jones

The Commission's lastest report on single market implementation shows that the United Kingdom has implemented 84 per cent. of measures requiring national implementation. Only Denmark 88 per cent. and Portugal, with its derogations—85 per cent.—had a better record.
