§ Mr. DorrellNo specific guidance on the use of irradiated food in establishments run by social services departments is being issued by the Department. In common with all other catering establishments, local authorities and social services departments who choose to use irradiated products will be required to inform consumers under the requirements of the Food Labelling (Amendment) (Irradiated Food) Regulations 1990.
