To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how much of the total grant to Milford Haven fishing concerns has been specifically allocated to indigenous local non-sector vessels in each year since 1979.

Since 1979 the Department has offered regional selection assistance towards three projects in respect of non-sector fishing vessels based at Milford Haven—£60,000 in 1984, and £75,000 in 1986.

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the progress made on fishing trawler decommissioning in Wales.

The Government have no plans to introduce a decommissioning scheme.
