HC Deb 11 February 1991 vol 185 c310W
23. Mr. Pike

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he proposes to discuss station access for the disabled when he next meets the chairman of British Rail.

Mr. Freeman

The decision whether to improve access to stations lies with British Rail. It is for BR to design and plan improvements with the help of its disability adviser, and to judge any proposals against other schemes and the resources available.
