To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) what will be the capital cost to British universities of implementing the Home Office's code of practice for the housing and care of animals used in scientific procedures;

(2) what financial provision has been earmarked for implementing the Home Office's code of practice for the housing and care of animals used in scientific procedures in each of the next three financial years; and whether this provision is contained within block grant or capital provision.
