§ Mrs. Rumbold[holding answer 29 January 1991]: In order for the Representation of the People Act 1990 to take effect, it will be necessary to make some minor amendments to the Representation of the People Regulations 1986 and the European Parliamentary Elections Regulations 1986, and to make an Order in Council in respect of local elections in Northern Ireland. We shall do this as soon as possible. We intend to make the new absent voting application form RPF 8 available at the beginning of May.
