§ Mr. Nicholas BennettThe administration revenue net allocations to Mid-Glamorgan family practitioner committee—from 17 September 1990, Mid-Glamorgan family health services Authority—for the relevant financial years are as follows:
166W
£ 1988–89 11599,652 1989–90 1709,502 1990–91 21,031,730 1 Final cash limit. 2 Provisional cash limit. The 1991–92 administration revenue allocations for FHSAs in Wales will be notified shortly.
§ Dr. Kim HowellsTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what has been the cost, by authority, during 1990–91, of setting up teams within district health authorities in Wales whose function is to perform the purchaser role described in section 3.23 of the Welsh Office publication, "NHS Wales: Agenda for Action, 1991–93."
§ Mr. Nicholas BennettThe internal management and organisation of an authority's purchase role is for the individual districts to determine. In recognition of the increased responsibilities for the introduction of the contractual framework, and consideration of NHS trusts, DHAs have received additional resources totalling £2.4 million and £2.7 million in 1990–91 and 1991–92 respectively and which covers both the purchase and provider functions.
§ Dr. Kim HowellsTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is the estimated cost of the implementation of the measures contained in the Welsh Office national health service directorate proposals in "NHS Wales: Agenda for Action, 1991–93."
§ Mr. Nicholas BennettThe main purpose of the agenda for action is to help the NHS refocus its activities and existing resources to achieve a better return in terms of both the health of the people of Wales and the services available to them.
As such, the actions identified are central to the NHS management effort, with related costs being woven into and covered principally by the mainstream budgets of the various organisations involved.
