To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether tenders have been invited for the Forster Green junction improvement scheme in Castlereagh borough; when he expects work to commence on site; and what is the contract period for this scheme.

Mr. Needham

Tenders have not yet been received for the Forster Green junction improvement scheme which is expected to commence during the 1991–92 financial year. The date is dependent on a number of factors including the acquisition of the necessary land. The contract period will be approximately one year.
