§ Mrs. Ann WintertonTo ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) what advice he has given to Mersey regional health authority about the possible establishment of a village community for mentally handicapped patients on the site of the Cranage Hall hospital; and if he will make a statement;
(2) if he will give details of the progress which has been made towards the closure, disposal and subsequent use of the Cranage Hall hospital and its grounds.
§ Mr. DorrellThe Department does not offer advice about the future of specific hospitals. The future of services at Cranage Hall hospital is a matter for Crewe health authority.
