§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyOfficials are already consulting the local authority associations on a new financial assessment for people in residential care, to take effect from April 1993. Preliminary work to produce guidance about charges for day and domiciliary services has also commenced, and will involve the local authority associations. For both there will be further consultation in 1992.
