§ The Attorney-GeneralOn 1 October 1989 the Crown prosecution service employed 1,018 solicitors and 514.5 barristers. On 1 October 1990 those numbers had risen to 1,134 solicitors and 521 barristers, and on 1 October 1991 to 1,278.5 solicitors and 596 barristers.
