§ Mr. MaplesDuring the first half of 1991 the personal sector is estimated to have saved at an annual rate of £42.3 billion, representing about 10½ per cent. of disposable income. Figures for the level of saving and personal disposable income for the past 15 years may be found in table 3.1 of the CSO Blue Book, 1991 edition.
