To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what was the net added value in industry, excluding services and agriculture, expressed in United States dollars of(a) the Federal Republic of Germany, (b) France, (c) Italy, (d) Spain and (e) the EC in total for each of the last three available years;

(2) what was the net added value in industry, excluding services and agriculture, expressed in United States dollars, of Japan, in each of the last three available years;

(3) what was the net added value in industry, excluding services and agriculture, expressed in United States dollars, of the United Kingdom for each of the last three available years.

Data for net value added in industry for the Federal Republic of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and Japan are published by the OECD in"National Accounts 1977–89". The total for the European Community is not available.
