HC Deb 09 December 1991 vol 200 c349W
Mr. Amos

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what steps his Department has taken to mark the 50th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl harbour and to commemorate the allied service men and civilians killed in the war by the Japanese; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

My Department has not been invited to participate in any activities organised by the United States to mark the Japanese attack on Pearl harbour. It is our usual practice to remember personnel killed in past conflicts at the annual Remembrance day ceremony at the Cenotaph.
