§ Mr. ChopeThe closure is necessary to reduce the loading on the old bridge over the River Roding which a recent assessment has shown to be overstressed. Investigations are being undertaken urgently to determine the extent of any remedial work. Until these are completed I am unable to say how long the closure will continue.
