§ Mr. Peter LloydThere were 22 arrests and 27 ejections per 100,000 of the people attending football league matches in England and Wales last season. In the period from August 1990 to May 1991, the number of arrests made by forces excluding the Metropolitan police district were 2,965 per 100,000 of the population. Arrests for notifiable offences in the Metropolitan police district were 1,350 per 100,000 of the population.
