HC Deb 04 December 1991 vol 200 c138W
Mr. Colvin

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many disabled people are currently employed in his Department; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Kenneth Baker

The Home Office currently employs 183 registered disabled persons, which represents some 0.4 per cent. of the total number of staff. No record is kept of staff with disabilities who have chosen not to register. Specific targets have been set in the last two years to increase the number of staff with disabilities employed in the Department.
