§ Mr. Nicholas BennettGeneral medical practitioners' remuneration is primarily determined by the doctors and dentists review body which makes recommendations each year as to the level of income the average GP should receive after meeting the expenses of running his practice.
The latest year for which actual earnings of general practitioners is known is 1988–89, at £28,979. The average intended net income determined by the review body for subsequent years is as follows:
