§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyEach health authority is responsible for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of its employees at work and will be guided by particular advice issued by the Health and Safety Executive. The Department has issued guidance on the establishment of occupational health services generally, but does not collect information on the number of health authority staff deployed on such services.
