§ Mr. FisherTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will list the number and location of all new buildings or extensions commissioned by his Department in each of the past five years which(a) had contracts worth between £3 million and £5 million and (b) had contracts worth more than £5 million.
Mr. JacksonMy Department has commissioned the following new buildings and extensions:
- in 1986, a new building in Broad lane, Sheffield for the Health and Safety Executive at a cost of £8 million;
- in 1991, a new building at East lane, Runcorn at a cost of £12 million to accommodate headquarters posts relocating from London;
- in 1989, an extension to Brixton unemployment benefit office, Halmaker Lodge, south-west London, costing £3.7 million.
