asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether Kuwait signed and ratified the Fourth Geneva Convention on the protection of civilians and, if not, whether written assurances will be obtained for the protection of resident aliens in Kuwait.

Kuwait acceded to the Fourth Geneva Convention on 2nd September 1967.
