§ Mr. Garel-JonesThe site of the World bank's annual meeting is chosen by the membership as a whole some years in advance. We have expressed our regret at the overthrow of the democratically elected government in Thailand and our hope for the speedy restoration of democracy. However, the provisional constitution announced on 1 March has set a timetable for elections and a return to democracy.
