§ Mr. DorrellA contact register is being developed for all patients receiving care from the department of psychological medicine at City and Hackney health authority. Patients are asked to identify their own ethnic origin. Where this is not possible, that particular section will be left blank. The register has a security mechanism whereby information relating to ethnic origin is kept confidential and can be checked by the patient on request.
