HC Deb 17 April 1991 vol 189 cc195-6W
26. Mr. Salmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations he has received from shop stewards on the future of the steel works at Ravenscraig, Clydesdale and Dalzell.

Mr. Allan Stewart

Since the beginning of last year, Scottish Office Ministers have held seven meetings with trade union representatives from the Scottish steel industry. At these meetings, the unions made representations in support of the case for investment to secure the future of the Scottish plants.
