Mr. Mallon

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many students transferring from primary school to second level education in 1990 were not placed in a school by(a) August, (b) September, (c) October and (d) later than October.

Dr. Mawhinney

Information supplied by the education and library boards indicates that the number of pupils transferring from primary school to secondary level such interests are made public; and what criteria or code he has published as a guide to the compilation of any such registers.

Mrs. Virginia Bottomley

Provisions relating to declaration of interests are set out in the Regional and District Health Authorities (Membership and Procedure) Regulations 1990–11 (6), 13 and 20—and are covered in guidance issued on 12 July 1990. No specific guidance has been issued on the compilation of registers of interest.
