§ Mr. ForthIn the financial year 1989–90 the British Tourist Authority did not undertake any advertising in Japan. This decision was taken by the authority against a background of very high advertising costs in Japan. But the authority spent a total of £670,000 on specific marketing activity in Japan in the same period.
