To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list the underwriters for the sale of the electricity distribution companies and the estimated total fees payable.

Mr. Wakeham

It has not yet been decided who the underwriters on the sale of the regional electricity companies will be, nor has the level of their fees been fixed. These items will be settled only once the price and terms of the offer for sale are agreed and following a competitive auction on underwriting rates.
