§ Baroness HooperHealth authorities are responsible for providing the best possible patient care within available resources. As part of a range of measures to keep spending within budget, Riverside Health Authority has temporarily reduced the number of acute services beds at Charing Cross hospital. Priority is being given to emergency and urgent admissions —including emergency and urgent investigations—which may mean that other patients have to wait longer for non-emergency investigations.
