§ Mr. Richard ShepherdTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether any signs were placed at motorway junctions to advise motorists joining the southbound carriageway that the M1 was closed at junction 11 during the aftermath of the accident on 23 October referred to in his answer of 30 October,Official Report, column 466, whether any signs were placed on the hard shoulder or central reservations advising motorists to expect long delays; and whether any signs were placed at junctions, on the hard shoulder or central reservation advising motorists to leave the motorway before junction 11.
