§ Mr. SpellerTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps will be taken to ensure that all food supplied into the European Community via an eastern Germany entry point has been processed and packed in accordance with existing European Community regulations.
§ Mr. CurryOnly food products which meet European Community standards are permitted to circulate within the Community. The German authorities are required by Community regulations, which form part of the package of transitional measures on German unification, to ensure that products not complying with Community standards are not placed on the market in the Community except within the territory of the former German Democratic Republic.
