HC Deb 01 November 1990 vol 178 c687W
Mr. Dykes

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will hold urgent discussions with the board of the London residuary body concerning the practical steps needed to retain county hall and its outbuildings in public ownership, following the collapse of the consortium offer in the recent tender application.

Mr. Key

No. The future of county hall is a matter for the London residuary body whose responsibility it remains to dispose of the property in the interests of London charge payers.
