§ 28. Mr. Bidwell
To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received on the subject of the Hindu temple at Bhaktivedanta Manor, following the announcement of his decision on the appeal by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness against a planning decision by Hertsmere borough council.
§ Mr. Moynihan
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness have entered notices of motion in the High Court that the decisions of the Secretary of State be quashed in respect of both the enforcement notice appeal at Bhaktivedanta Manor and the appeal against refusal of 245W permission for a new temple near Elstree. In addition, 12 representations have been received about the decisions announced on 20 March, 10 of those representations were critical of the decisions, and two welcomed them.
