§ Mr. DevlinTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement about the further lane closures on the A19 viaducts at Portrack and Leven valley which commenced on 10 May.
§ Mr. AtkinsThe works on the Al9 Tees viaduct involve operations which could not be completed during the winter period as part of the main refurbishment scheme. Primarily the work involved is in painting the outer faces of steel plate girders and repaired sections of the bridge parapets, which requires warmer weather conditions. The nearside lane closures will continue until the end of June. They are not expected to cause significant delays to traffic.
The works to Leven valley viaduct are similar and are expected to be completed shortly.
