§ Mr. ForthThe major liberalisation which the Government have already introduced in United Kingdom 459W telecommunications, including the recent announcement of licences for three personal communications networks, has allowed many new suppliers to flourish. I have no further significant plans at present, pending the Government's review, starting in November this year, of the BT/Mercury duopoly in the provision of fixed link services.
