What per centage of recycled fibre is used in the production of the newsprint used in each of the titles published by the newspaper publishers to whom the Secretary of State for the Environnment recently sent a questionnaire.
§ Lord HeskethThe form of the responses from newspaper publishers to the Department of the Environment does not enable a reliable comparison to be made of the recycled paper content of the newspapers which they produce, although it is clear that there is a wide variation. The Department of the Environment is therefore following up with the publishers a number of points arising from their responses, including how more precisely to define the recycled content of their newspapers.
