§ Mr. ScottI wrote to the chief executive of Clwyd on 7 March explaining the help available under the social fund scheme and, in particular, that community care grants are intended to help people re-establish themselves in the community. I will be replying to his further letter shortly. I also explained that our policy of restricting eligibility to the grants to those receiving income support was to target resources on those most in need.
