§ Mr. BrookeEnhancing cross-border co-operation on security matters remains a fundamental objective of the Government in their discussions with the Irish Government. Progress has been made since the signing of the Anglo-Irish Agreement, but there remains considerable scope for further improvement. We shall continue to explore, through the Conference, ways in which this can be achieved.
