§ Mr. FlynnTo ask the Prime Minister if during her meeting with King Hussein of Jordan on 11 March, she raised(a) the situation of the journalist Farzad Bazoft in Iraq, (b) the threat of nuclear weapons in the middle east and (c) the failure of Israel to sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
§ The Prime MinisterI had a wide-ranging and very useful discussion of the situation in the middle east with King Hussein, who kindly agreed to intercede with the Iraqis over the case of Mr. Bazoft. Our views on the threat posed by nuclear proliferation in the middle east are well known.
