§ Sir Geoffrey HoweThe Government attach great importance to keeping the House informed of developments in the Community and will continue to report promptly on the outcome of Council meetings as necessary. The Government are actively considering the report by the Procedure Committee on parliamentary scrutiny published on 30 November 1989 which covers a wide range of issues concerning the way in which the House deals with European Community legislation.
