To ask the Secretary of State for Transport (1) how many Ministry of Transport test centres have been suspended and subsequently permitted to continue for each year since 1983; and if he will make a statement;

(2) what is the number of garages whose operation of Ministry of Transport testing has been terminated by his Department for each year since 1983; and if he will make a statement.
