To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on the future funding of Euro information centres.

§ Mr. Eggar
The first four centres in the United Kingdom were established in 1987; a further 16 for the United Kingdom were approved in October 1989 and will be operational by April this year.
The Commission provides pump-priming funds on a reducing basis in the first three years of operation.
