To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is considering any change in policy by Her Majesty's Government towards sporting links with South Africa.

The Government consider that it would be premature to do so. Therefore, we remain fully committed to the Commonwealth statement on apartheid in sport, the Gleneagles agreement.
