§ 66. Mr. LeighTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether he has any proposals to alter the liability of trade unions to ex parte injunctions.
§ Mr. NichollsNo. The law gives an employer threatened with an unlawful call to take industrial action the right to seek an injunction against the relevant union in order to protect his business. The procedure for obtaining an injunction against a trade union is no different from the procedure for obtaining an injunction to stop unlawful behaviour by any other organisation, and my right hon. and learned Friend has no intention of changing that.
